The slide switch has two, three, four and six knives, and the number of digits usually has two and three digits. Because of the small number of knives and digits, it is more suitable for use in simple circuits. (1)   Toggle-type slide switch:

The toggle-type switch is generally composed of three parts: a metal shell, a reed plastic bracket and a switch sheet. The insulating base of the switch sheet is generally a glass fiber plate, and two rows of cut-in fixed contacts are crimped on it. ; There is a small slot on the plastic bracket, and the snap-type sliding reed is fixed in the slot; the metal shell fixes the reed plastic bracket and the switch piece together. When the switch is toggled, the plastic bracket drives the reed to slide on the fixed contact piece on the switch plate. The positioning bead and the spring make the switch action position accurately, and can ensure that it will not be dislocated under certain vibration conditions. The commonly used toggle switch has 1 pole. 2-bit, 1-pole 3-bit, 2-pole 2-bit, 2-pole 3-bit, 4-pole 3-bit, 4-pole 4-bit, 10-pole 3-bit, 4-pole 10-bit, etc. Among them, the multi-pole and multi-position switches with more than 3 poles are mainly used for band conversion. Some band switches can have as many as ten digits and can change more than ten gears. The toggle switch is generally directly welded on the printed circuit board, which has the advantages of small size, short lead wire and low price, but due to structural reasons, the number of digits and the number of knives cannot be done too much. The voltage switched in the circuit should not be too high, and the current should not be too large. Toggle switches are widely used in radios, tape recorders, TV sets and various instruments and meters. They are used as band switches, channel switching switches, function (recording and playback, etc.) switching switches, tape selection switches and Dolby noise reduction switches.

   The rotary switch generally fixes one or more switch sheets on a metal bracket. The switch sheet substrate is insulated. The commonly used materials are high-frequency porcelain, glass cloth, etc., and each contact piece is fixed on the insulating On the base plate, the center of the bracket is provided with a rotating shaft, which drives the cut-in contact piece in the middle of the switch piece to rotate, so that certain two contacts on the position switch piece are connected or disconnected. The rotating part of the bracket is also equipped with a ball, which cooperates with the positioning card on the bracket body to ensure that the jumping step is quick and crisp and the positioning is accurate when the switch is actuated. High-frequency porcelain band switches are mainly suitable for high-frequency and ultra-high-frequency circuits; epoxy glass cloth rubber plate band switches are suitable for high-frequency circuits and general circuits, and are widely used in ordinary tape recorders and radios.

Slide switch installation precautions:

When installing the slide switch, pay attention to distinguish the wiring parts of the live wire and the neutral wire, and must not install it in the wrong position, so as not to affect the safe use of the circuit. Its installation height is also worth noting. Usually, this kind of switch is not installed alone. It is often installed in a row with multiple installations.
